So, im going back. I'll be working closely with Dylan at Pinky+Foof, and doing it from Peru for a bit. Obviously looking after all my current clients, any new work give dylan a call on 0417 298 008. Im going to be surfing, building client sites as well as working on a few of my own personal projects.
Vis has surfed Jaw's in Hawaii at night time as part of the '9 Lives' Documentary production. This was a world first and created a viral frenzy. The initial video generated 80,000 plays in 16 hours bringing the whole Vimeo site to a stand still i am told. Read more »
We made San Jose just before nightfall and spent the night in a 'Costa Rica Backpackers', we had some encounters with some arrogant Americans got a lil drunk, Jamil ate about 10 Burritos from the restaurant connected to the hostel and we researched all the potential surf spots and bus times for the morning. So after I made some new friends in Panama City it was time to move on.... with the 'A' Team of course. We got to Santa Catalina in the pouring rain and made a mad dash to Rollo's - a place right in town which wasn't too shabby, in-fact probably a bit too clean cut for our new crowd of trouble makers. Lobitos really has nothing much to offer but surf and oil, but thats what we needed at this point. We bunked down with Nacho, and a bunch of really cool guys that didnt speak alot of english.
Nacho somehow knew what we needed when we needed it, we had coffee at first light, as we eye balled the waves and decided where to surf (we could see all the breaks from Nachos). Read more »
Chicama is the longest left hander in the world and I'm telling you its alot of fun. It breaks for 2 km and it takes about 45 minutes to walk to the point where you paddle out. Sometimes it only takes 5 minutes to get back if your lucky enough to catch one wave the whole way. Read more »
Okay. So the date is set. In heading to Lima, Peru on May 12 to chase down and surf some of the longest left handers in the world.
I will be heading North from Lima, visiting places like Chicama, Mancora, Lobitos, Cabo Blanco, before heading across the border into Equador. From here its Columbia, Panama, and then Costa Rica. Read more »
