Acapulco... Turf wars, Dos Equis and Taco's

I was waiting for my US Visa in Mexico City so that I could get home, we decided to checkout 'Acapulco', on the pacific coast. We took the surfboards hoping to catch something, but it wasn't to be.

Apparently I should of heard of Acapulco as its been on movies, is famous for its partying and cliff diving but some how it had alluded me until now. We found some some cheap taco's found some beers in a 'green bottle' and went exploring.

We met some interesting characters in some pretty shady backstreets, and soon learnt that this town was responsible for a big majority of the drugs coming from Colombia, destined for the US. Shootings were pretty common, and Tourists aren't given a free pass... interesting.

This place really is a City, it reminded me a lot of the Gold Coast. If I wanted to go to the Gold Coast I would probably go there.
