Pacific to The Caribbean. Santa Catalina - Bocas Del Toro.

After 10 days in Santa Cantalina and some pretty average weather, we were all pretty keen to go to a Caribbean island in the north of Panama called Bocas del Toro.

We had been hearing about this place for months from as far back as Peru. In particular we had heard that a bar called 'Aqua Lounge' was the go. Especially on Wednesday and Saturday evenings... Ladies Night.

FREE drinks for ladies from 9 to 10 ensures there is plenty of chicas, with plenty of reason to party, as the bar is built on top of the Carribean with a pool cut into the deck, a diving platform, and the dance floor packed full of backpackers making the most of each others intoxication.

Jamil was on fire, Megs was doing outstanding as our wing-woman, and somehow we ended up with the VIP section of the club. That night never really ended and the next morning someone come up with the concept of the 'Tour de Bocas'.

We finally got off Bocas a few days later, headaches, sunburnt, and craving some surf. It really was quite the opposite of what seemed not too far away, the pacific ocean. Apparently around December time there are some quality waves.... next time.
